My hair is damp.
My clothes are soaked.
But the tears are from inside.
It's too much to bare.
I sit in the rain.
I don't know how long I have.
You didn't want me any more.
But I always will want you.
I shiver as the rain falls harder.
Someone passes.
Another face that appears empty.
I only wish that time would heal me.

My heartbeats faster as you approach.
You take another step.
My breathing becomes uneven.
A closer step.
My lips pulse to reach out to yours.
One step left.
My hand waits for your embrace.
"I'm sorry. We can't," you whisper.
I drop my eyes from your face.
"I...I still...love you," you stutter.
I fall.
You leave.
My lips turn blue.
"I love you," i mutter.
My heartbeat stops.
Everything's black.

I tilt my head thoughtfully.
"Is he?"
Everyone says I shouldn't love you.
I close my eyes.
"But I do."
Everyone said he was evil.
I licked my lips.
"Being good's no fun."
Everyone says he would leave me.
I blinked back tears.
"He already has."

My days go by slowly.
My vision blurs.
I remember the feeling.
I remember the words.
I tug on my binding clothes.
They trap me in.
I remember the hurt.
I remember the cold.
I shiver as you come up to me.
"What's wrong?"
"The past is wrong."
"We're in the present," you object.
"The present freezes the pain I'm in."
You frown, "Have you no hope for the future?"
"The future is pointless if I'm not with you.
